This highly portable device permits the maintainer to bridge or terminate signals into the shunts, couplers and dummy loads under test.

It can be moved to the area of the track where the devices are in service, maximizing effectiveness, minimizing time required to perform the tests and ensuring that unnecessary movement of the device under test does not change the condition causing the problem.

• Identify centre frequencies of shunts, couplers and related transmitters.
• Determine termination and signal thru-put capacities of shunts.
• Eliminate shunts as source of tail ring.
• Adjust tuneable couplers and shunts prior to installation.
• Dummy load test identifies distance equivalent.
• Test shunts for DC leakage.
• Record shunt tuning tests.
• A large carry bag is also furnished to carry the Tester, both Simulators, Battery Charger, and other accessories.
